La Belle Vie
This is all so girly, I know. So as long as I'm living with a boy, I'll probably never have something like this in my home. But I love it!
This is a working studio behind a home in San Diego. I want to work here! Heck, I could live here!

Kitchens
We soooooo need this.
This is so beautiful and romantic, I kinda wish I was there. But does nothing catch on fire? I can't help but think that some of these must come crashing back to earth with their flames still glowing. Does that make me a glass half empty kind of girl?
Martha Stewart
Wooden countertop. Why don't more people do this? I love this look for a beach house.

Design Trends
As I scour the web for pretty pictures and inspiring interiors, certain design elements start to repeat and catch my eye. Below are four of my favorite trends for this season....
(no pun intended! ha) or statement piece. And ya'll know how I feel about the Union Jack Rug, as I've already blogged about before here.
I didn't realize how popular this pattern was until recently, and now I'm seeing it everywhere. From fashion to interiors, this pattern is hot!! Here's just a small taste of where it's popping up.....
The Louis Ghost Chair
This is at the top of my list for a reason. I'm obsessed with it. But I don't think I'm the only one. I've seen ghost chairs everywhere lately. And although they're expensive ($410 on DWR), you can find a knockoff on Amazon for waaay cheaper. I love it to as a desk chair, but I've seen it used as dining room chairs or even sitting alone against a wall in a foyer or a bedroom.
Union Jack Patterns
They're bold and a little quirky. But I think in the right place, this look can be a good accent(no pun intended! ha) or statement piece. And ya'll know how I feel about the Union Jack Rug, as I've already blogged about before here.
Union Jack Rug from Z Gallerie
As seen in Lonny Mag....
The Pouf
What can I say? These are just cute and fun. And the Moroccan Poufs are really making their way around the globe quickly. Chevron

We finally decided to stay in the city this weekend to relax and catch up with some friends. This afternoon Tommy and I skateboarded over to the west side and met Lauren and Jeff ....rented free kayaks, meandered around on the beautiful west side waterfront, and had a lobster roll and milkshake for lunch. I forgot how great the city is during the summer. Yay

The Perfect Day
So....... if I were to create the perfect day, where I could do anything and have everything at my fingertips, what would it be?? In that world, I'm obviously very rich and live in a really cool imaginary place (that is really just a bunch of beautiful countries and places combined into one awesome town).
And so this is a day in the life of my perfect life...... my perfect day.
I wake up next to this little guy
in this awesome and snuggly bed
Then I have something delicious and nutritious for breakfast :)
And take a morning stroll through my neighborhood
where I stop to buy the catch of the day at my local seafood market
Then I return home to my cottage
where my personal chef and I prepare lunch for my favorite girls
We serve lunch in my backyard where we eat, drink, and share some good gossip and laughter...
Then we decide to take a cool dip in the local watering hole down the street from my cottage
After our swim, I'm feeling pretty lazy, so I come home and take a little siesta outside on my back patio
{dreamy whites}
The sun begins to set and a cool breeze wakes me up. I get up and get ready for a date with my boyfriend.
He picks me up at 7:30pm in his car
and we drive down the highway with the wind in our hair (and miraculously, my hair stays perfect) and have dinner at this nearby restaurant.
Best. View. Ever.

We end the evening with a romantic boat ride for two.
